The Hotel Minneapolis is located in downtown near the Target Center. The Target Center is an arena in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, sponsored by Target Corporation and is home to the National Basketball Association's Minnesota Timberwolves and Women's National Basketball Association's Minnesota Lynx. The Hotel Minneapolis is 6 blocks from the Target Center and is accessible via car, bus, light rail and the skyway system. Target Center arena is located at 600 First Avenue North in the heart of the Warehouse and Entertainment district of Minneapolis on the northwest side of downtown between 6th and 7th Streets. It is a block away from the Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue terminus of the Hiawatha Line. The arena is also across the street from the well-known Minneapolis nightclub First Avenue and the entertainment complex, Block E. In addition, the new Minnesota Twins stadium, called Target Field, will be located just across Highway 394 from Target Center and shares public parking with the Target Center.
